According to sources Apple is preparing to reveal a whole new line of 12 laptops next week with prices ranging from $800-$3100. Apple is having an invitation-only town hall event at 10 AM on October 14th to show off the new laptops.
Unofficial Photos of the new Macbooks have already been leaked to the internet and show the new laptops made from the “Brick” process:
The price drop is rumored to come from Apples new “Brick” manufacturing process where the laptops bodies are cut from a solid piece of Aluminum, using lasers and water jets, making the laptops lighter, seamless, cheaper, and dissipate heat better. Looks like it could be a good time to finally upgrade from my trusty old Powerbook G4.

Apple have again had a slight refresh to their MacBook line up, but only on the plastic cased ‘original’ white MacBook. The main change is the introduction of an LED screen (as per the MacBook Pro models) and a unibody casing, although still in plastic. It’s nowhere as good looking as the Pro models but if you’re on a budget it’s worth a look.
Has Apple finally learned they would sell even more MacBooks if the price dropped? I think maybe they have. The MC207LL is now one of the bestselling laptops. Could that be because it´s price is just under $1,000?

I love the way Apple’s laptops are one-piece construction. My Windows laptop creaks and moans whenever I move it around, and generally feels like bits are going to fall (or snap) off. I can’t wait till someone follows Apple’s lead and starts producing decent one-piece Windows laptops!
Excellent post I always love this type of discussion good work sir thank you.
